Technology-Enabled Care

For a home care service in Kathmandu, leveraging technology is not just about being modern; it is a practical solution to real-world challenges.

In a busy city like Kathmandu, where travel can be challenging, technology-enabled care offers a smarter, more efficient way to support patients at home.

Through tools like Telehealth and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), we track vital signs daily and provide regular check-ins without needing constant in-person visits. This creates a flexible “Hybrid Care” model—combining virtual support with home visits to ensure continuous, high-quality care.

It also allows families to choose between “standard package” and “premium care package” giving them more control, convenience, and confidence in their loved one’s care.

1. Telehealth & Virtual Consultations

Telehealth uses secure communication technology to deliver healthcare services remotely. This is a fast-growing field in Nepal, supported by both private and government initiatives. So we also offer this service in our packages.

  • Virtual Nurse Check-in : Nurses can conduct secure video calls for Routine follow-up — such as reviewing medications, providing patient education, assessing client's general condition, answering questions — without the need for in-person visit.
  • Tele- Doctor Consultation : Direct access to General Practitioners or Specialists for managing chronic conditions, reviewing lab results, or addressing non-emergency concerns that do not require physical examination.
  • Tele- Rehabilitation : Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Counselors guide clients online through prescribed exercises, monitor their progress, and provide coaching — which boosts the frequency & continuity of therapy.

2. Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)

RPM takes telehealth further by using digital devices to automatically collect and transmit patient data from home to healthcare team. This enables continuous oversight, timely intervention, and efficient management of chronic disease as well as post-surgical care.

eg. single nurse operating from a central office can monitor daily vitals of many patients via RPM devices, which is much more efficient than dispatching nurses to each home for a simple 5-minute check.

  • Chronic Disease Monitoring: Clients with chronic conditions (like hypertension, diabetes, COPD) can be provided with smart connected devices — such as smart blood pressure cuff, glucometer, or pulse oximeter. Readings are sent regularly to the clinical team who can track trends, identify issues early and prevent crisis.
  • Post-Surgical Monitoring: Devices such as pulse oximeters or wearable ECG patches monitor oxygen levels and heart rhythms after surgery, enhancing safety and enabling early detection of post-operative complications.
  • Data-Driven Care Plan Adjustments: Continuous, objective data provides a clearer picture of patient health than periodic visits alone. This allows clinicians to make timely, evidence-based changes to medications, diet, or care plans—leading to better patient outcomes.
