Nowadays, more and more youths are moving abroad in search of opportunities leaving behind their aging parents in Nepal. Even those living here often find themselves caught in the pressures of work, family, and daily life, unable to give their parents the time, attention, and care they truly deserve.

Many children want to give their parents a safe, peaceful, dignified life in their later years but feel helpless watching them grow older, lonely, and more dependent. This not only leaves the elderly at risk, but also their children are filled with guilt and sadness.

Although care homes are an option, they are still seen as taboo in our Nepalese society - so less opted for. In such a situation, there is a great need for services that provide best care for elderly parents at their own home.

We understand this feeling deeply. Seeing this growing problem we felt a responsibility to offer a meaningful solution. That’s how we came up with “Avina Care”. Our vision is to bring personalized, professional, and heartfelt care to the homes of Nepal’s elderly. Because we believe that seniors deserve to age with dignity and be surrounded by love, comfort and familiarity.

Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment:

It is a thorough in-home assessment, conducted by a geriatric-trained nurse or physician. Through this evaluation, we :

• form basis of personalized care plan (tailored according to needs of each patient)
